As I reflect on the past few months, my heart fills with gratitude to Jesus for all that He has done!! We believe that we are in a new season as a team. A time of intercession and prayer. A time of being intentional and really listening for Papa. Dreams are becoming reality and excitement is in the air. But with this comes a perseverance. A tenacity we can only have by staying at His feet.
Speaking of dreams coming true – for a long time, I’ve wished for an outdoor beautiful wedding. Our first wedding was nice, but we could not have it outdoors because of the weather. After I shared this dream with the girls on our Sihanoukville team, they rallied IMG_9958 (640x427)around us and encouraged us to renew our vows on the beach. So in June, with their helpful planning, we did just that!!! It was so special!!  And our kids could even be involved, along with our Iris Cambodia family!

Then, a couple of months later, we moved to a new house. A house we had looked at before and admired.  It has a great place for the kids to play and just feels more like a home. And it is also located very near our boys center.  Needless to say, we feel so blessed!

There are many on our team who have had or are about to see their dreams become reality! It is so exciting! And with that, I just want to encourage you to nurture the dreams and promises that God put inside of you. Don’t ever give up on them!

One of my husband’s dreams is to start businesses in Cambodia, which will not only help fund our family living here, but support Iris Cambodia as well. This would create jobs for those we are reaching out to and give more opportunity for interaction in the community.

One of the businesses we are believing for is a cafe/book/toy store. Please join us in praying for an amazing location and for wisdom in this process. We are looking for people photo (1) (1) (480x640)who have expertise in this area who are willing to give advice and help.

Even though we haven’t received our official NGO status yet, we just keep loving the ones in front of us and preparing the ground with prayer and worship. We work together to make the boys centre look beautiful, and spend time learning the Khmer language. Our team is so incredible and I believe with this “waiting time” that God is knitting our hearts so close together, and solidifying the foundation. Our leaders are amazing, too, and do such an outstanding job of being watchmen on the wall.

As a mother, I see the value of knowing our identity as sons and daughters of our God and that is even becoming more clear to each of us. So, even though things aren’t perfect, we know He is FOR us and we will continue the fight for righteousness, justice, and purity in this country!! He who called us is FAITHFUL!!!!
